General Dynamics American Overseas Marine is headquartered in Quincy, Mass., and operates five Maritime Prepositioning Ships (MPS) and nine Large, Medium-Speed, Roll-on/Roll-off (LMSR) ships across the world. MPS vessels contain nearly everything U.S. Marines need for initial military operations—from tanks and ammunition to food,  fuel and spare parts. LMSR vessels are among the largest cargo ships in the world, carrying helicopters, M1A1 tanks and Bradley armored personnel carriers.
