Mission

The General Dynamics champions small businesses as subcontractors. We share a common goal across our corporation; namely, to afford America's small business community maximum opportunity to participate in the performance and success of the government prime contracts entrusted to us.

We strive to establish mutually beneficial relationships with qualified small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, historically black colleges and universities, and minority institutions (MI).

Overview

At General Dynamics, we recognize that supplier diversity is a critical element and key factor to our success. Small and diversified business brings together a diverse group of suppliers that exhibit an uncommon commitment to quality and performance with the courage to apply advanced processes that improve productivity and reduce costs. It's this spirit that drives each of our business units to champion our diversity suppliers through outreach, mentorship, and assistance to maximize opportunities to compete. If selected for an award, our procurement, quality and performance monitoring offers small businesses assistance leading to timely product or service delivery. Our Small Business Development Program has allowed us not only to solidify our commitment to our community and country, but also to embrace smart business leaders to collaborate and to apply fresh ideas to our products and services. We use an aggressive and proactive approach to align diverse suppliers who meet our business, qualification, and security criteria. From the line employee to the highest levels of senior management, we are devoted to accomplishing diverse supply goals company-wide.

Small business candidates are identified using a variety of resources, including, but not limited to:
