Taking Pride In Your Work

"I have a lot of pride for all the different projects that General Dynamics works on. I know in a small way that I'm a part of the projects that help keep the country safe. And when it comes to representing the U.S., I can't even describe that feeling."

An Aspiring Olympic Athlete

In addition to her work at General Dynamics, Lisa is also training to qualify to become an Olympic athlete. "I started the steeplechase in college my sophomore year when it first became an NCAA event. I ran cross-country and track in high school and later in college. I really enjoy the steeplechase because you really have to focus on each barrier and it breaks up the race and makes it a little more challenging.

"Everyone at the company has been incredibly supportive. I've been given remote access so I can work from anywhere in the world, and I work a 30-hour-a-week schedule so that I have time to train. It's been a great setup. The people on my team are also great. If there's an article in the newspaper about one of my races, they'll have it up on our door outside the next day."
