General Dynamics Awarded Naval Surface Warfare Center Support Contract
FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Information
Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a
contract for Hull, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic (HME&E) Systems
Alterations Installation Team (AIT) support by the U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface
Warfare Center. The multiple-award, five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite
quantity contract has a total potential value of $475 million among all six
awardees.
Under the contract, General Dynamics will provide AIT with a full spectrum of
technical support services HME&E systems support during all phases of the
installation process on aircraft carriers, surface ships, watercrafts, cutters
and submarines for the U.S. Navy and other Federal agencies. These services
include planning, fabrication, installation, evaluation and modification of
prototypes and new HME&E systems. Work will be performed worldwide with the
majority of the work occurring in Norfolk, Va.; San Diego, Calif.; Mayport,
Fla.; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and Everett, Wash.
